Idea

A platform that provides virtual classrooms to train and up skill employees, engineers and students in emerging technologies like Python based Analytics, Data Sciences, ML and DL by live trainers.
Schomee is a integrated LMS & White boarding virtual class room which is a very convenient platform for teachers too to set up their courses.

Current Status

Schomee has beeb developed and tested by 2020, Sept 9 and we have soft launched in Nov 2020 and we are conducting courses but since we are still bootstrapped we are looking for investment.

Market

Engineers, Employees and Students (Secondary education and above) are our customers.
This is a huge market and the age group would range from 15 yrs to 35 yrs.
Sorry it is very difficult for us to determine a number to our segment since we will target to the global market.

Problem or Opportunity

Technologies evolve continuously and educational institutions find it very difficult to offer these technologies to students and engineers due to lack of trainers that are employed at universities and colleges and also employees in blue chip and tech companies find it difficult to find up skilling very difficult to find training schools who can offer courses at their convenient time and locations.
These up skilling help Students , employees and engineers to enhance their careers path options.
So Schomee offers these courses on one platform and Schomee also offers the platform for trainers who have expertise in emerging technologies to set up their own classes and charge fees to make a good living.
Once we agree with the trainers fee then we add to the fee and Schomee charges the fees to the students.

Competitors

There are sites like UpGrad, Udemy and Coursera who give similar courses but they provide tutorials and infographic content.
While Schomee provides virtual white boarding class rooms with Live trainers like the traditional school but on a technological platform.
Besides the course we provide an ecosystem of teachers experts and students forum who provide a Shadow support which is like an hand holding in the real world.

Advantages or differentiators

Every thing can be copied so our system can be copied too.
But the way we have modelled our business the main ingredients are the emerging technology trainers from the real world projects and the platform we give them allows them to earn more money than what they can earn by getting employed with companies like us.
Our competitors business model is to grow exponentially by selling content for self learning and have invested heavily in developing content, but during self learning the students find it difficult to adopt the theories in practical world.
While Schomee allows the trainer to earn heavy. ;))

This is our conservative projections based on a good support financially.

Business model

Schomee provides platform to trainers and students.

The trainers set up classes and courses after Schomee selects them and then negotiates the fees that they plan to charge either per students or per batch which can be on a specified number of students,
Once the selection process is complete Schomee determines the fees that should be charged to the students depending the market best practices.
So the business model with the teachers is like a partnership where the teachers make a good living.
Schomee does not keep teachers or trainers on their pay roll so we are not burdened. The trainer gets pain when students enroll for the courses.
For example for a Data Science course which is about 7 months duration the fees are approx $1750 to $2250 there are 3 trainers in the course and they charge approx $3500 per batch of 5 so it costs $675 per student while Schomee charges $1750 to $2250 per student.

Money will be spent on

Phase 2 development to ad a few new features and functions.
To hire and enhance technical team.
Marketing Team.
Sales Force.
Promotions.

We will offer 25% equity for $350,000.

Risks

We do not see much risk unless our internet connectivity gets disconnected or if the trainer turns rouge.
While there is always the risk of not able to attract students but that we could mitigate through batch discounts and other influencer programs and scholarships.
