Current Status

Niral Networks has 3 paying customers and currently working with another 7 customers globally (India, Africa, Europe, Asia). We have a Marketing Office in the US.
US based ICT Research firm Lightcounting mentions Niral Networks as a key global Software provided in the Disaggregated Open Router Market.
Telecom Infra Project (TIP) which is a global community of companies and organizations includes Telecom Operators, ISP, ODMs, OEMs, Software Stack providers, chipset vendors have mentioned Niral Networks as a key 5G ecosystem player for IP/MPLS Transport software products.
National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) is an Indian non-governmental trade association and advocacy group focused mainly on Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing industry has mentioned Niral Networks as a key technology provider for 5G from India.

In today’s connected world, there is a great need for portable, sophisticated, real-time applications that includes enriched multimedia tools, AR/VR, video analytics, drone surveillance, fleet tracking, tele medicine, remote health monitoring, robotics, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication, Internet of Things (IoT). Such sophisticated and real-time applications need a reliable, low-latency, high-bandwidth, secured and portable communication network that can be provided by Private 5G solution.
Niral Networks is developing a curated and open source private 5G Network Operating System (NOS) called NiralOS. When NiralOS based 5G is deployed, it frees up the customer from any type of vendor lock-in, creating unparalleled opportunities, including competitive pricing, more flexibility, faster innovation, and cost-effective scaling, which all ultimately have the potential to significantly lower both CAPEX and OPEX. The backhaul connectivity of private 5G solution using mesh networking.
NiralOS based private 5G can be used to create affordable communication solution for the un-connected or under-connected in difficult terrains, maritime, border area, disaster site etc.
According to market analysis report from Grand View Research Inc., the private 5G market is growing at a CAGR of 39.7% from 2020 to 2028. The private 5G market size was 1.22 Billion USD in 2020 and reach 14.28 Billion USD by 2028.
The hardware that includes radio units comprises of 50% of the market share, while software and services makes up 35% and 15% respectively. Also, by 2028, 30% of the private 5G network would use Licensed spectrum and 70% would use shared and unlicensed spectrum. Last mile Internet connectivity within the Enterprise or in rural areas can be a key enabler for Digital Transformation. Providing ultra-reliable, low latency, time sensitive network connectivity in the last mile will lead to proliferation of real-time applications like Industry 4.0, AGV (Automated Guided
Vehicle), AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots), Smart Agriculture, Remote Surgery, Unmanned Banking.
However, the last mile Internet connectivity has been a problem due to lack of appropriate technology to run Industry 4.0 application. Existing technologies like WIFI, LTE does not provide the determinism and flexibility required for real-time Industry 4.0 applications. Niral Networks believes that the private 5G Infrastructure should not be CAPEX, but based on OPEX as it can be a key enabler for Enterprises in their digital transformation even with constrained budget. Niral uses open standards and curates the open source software that brings in flexibility for customer to off-the-shelf HW making the network flexible and not tied to proprietary, closed system. Niral open solution eliminates the constraints and complexities of vendor lock in, multi-vendor integration that eventually leads to High OPEX.
Niral's technology advantage is its openness and flexibility. One of the biggest risk faced by customers for their network infrastructure is that of Vendor Lock-in from Incumbent OEMs. Customers have long lost the track of their hundreds or thousands of devices deployed by OEMs within their network, majorly accounting to the proprietary hardware and software involved. It had led to change in the Networking landscape and the emergence of SDN, NFV and disaggregated white box solution. The only way to reduce proprietary vendor lock-in of network infrastructure is to embrace open standard, open hardware and open source.

Finance

Niral Networks provides the private 5G infrastructure Software as a subscription (5GaaS). Predominantly, we earn our revenue through subscription. Customer register to our portal and quick start their private 5G Network. Customer pay us annually for the software subscription. The hardware units can be shipped by us or bought directly by customers.

We are confident in the development of the technology but there is a risk that Niral Networks starts the private 5G POC with customers within next year, so, we are not late to the market.
