To improve access to revenue-generating market opportunities for farmers while increasing fair access to quality food for consumers.
Current Status
I have started the business in 2002 and successfully operating till 2015. Due to other reasons, temporarily slowed down and want to get back again.
Market
To make these goals a reality, we will help educate current farmers and utilize educated women for transportation, packing, and operations. The physical resources of the initiative include a 1,000-ton cold storage facility and 20,000 sq feet of retail space. The current estimate of this investment is $1 million. We are looking to secure this funding by loan, equity, or any other transparent method.
Problem or Opportunity
The challenge of today’s farmers is that most of their day is taken up with their farm management. This leaves little to no time to develop new skills in marketing, distribution, packaging, or the like. For example, in typical distribution, most produce passes through at least 5 sets of hands before it reaches the consumer.
We aim to eliminate the number of hands so the profit margins benefit farmers and consumers who receive fresher produce without as much processing. The more produce crosses different levels of handling, the more expensive it tends to get.
Solution (product or service)
AOFP will operate as a wholesale distributor acting as a single intermediary between farmers and consumer-facing storefronts. This includes buying directly fr om farmers, processing, storing, labeling, and selling source-verified produce to consumers in local and regional locations. We will include farmers as part of our team to understand our operations and see wh ere they benefit most
Competitors
There are no food hubs in the region.
Advantages or differentiators
With over 35 years of farming experience, I understand the unique challenges of getting locally grown produce to markets for a fair and equitable return.

Money will be spent on
We will build 1000 tons cold storage and create marketing front direct to consumer. Also utilize IT to transform the business.
