Monitoring millions of video camera feeds manually is a near impossible task as it means viewing tens of billion hours of footage per week. The result is that most camera feeds are never monitored and are lost. Visionbot helps businesses get the most out of their visual content helping derive powerful insights and driving decision making.
Current Status
Our revenue for the FY 2018-19 was INR 2.3 Million and we expect a growth of 300% YOY in this FY.
We were selected by GINSERV in September 2019 for incubation and potential funding from the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
We had 1 customer for surveillance systems and 3 enterprise customers in the past 3 months. We are in discussions with a Smart City Solution provider for Traffic Management Solutions.
Market
By 2020, there will be over 500 Million cameras all over the world. Assuming that 10% of them will need to be monitored continuously and assuming that we capture 10% of this market, we could serve 5 Million cameras.
Problem or Opportunity
The total installed base of surveillance cameras in the world is around 265 million. Monitoring all these video camera feeds manually is a near impossible task because it involves viewing tens of billion hours of footage per week. Apart from monitoring cameras the sheer size of storage requirements can be expensive and daunting to maintain.
The result therefore is:
Most camera feeds are not monitored and are lost
Video streams are stored and viewed only if an incident is reported

Advantages or differentiators
The computer vision market is growing along two axes:
1. Cloud based intelligence or on device intelligence (edge)
2. Disparate video source capability Vs specialisation in Image Processing.
Hikvision , Honeywell work on the Edge or on camera intelligence and AIploy Vision and other Mobile based Computer Vision apps offer device based intelligence.
Companies like Clarifai / Google Lens offer primarily Cloud based Specialised Image Analysis capabilities.
We are into Cloud based intelligence and are able to work with Disparate Video sources.
