Idea

There are 12 million Ration or kirana stores in India who
want to go digital but there is no such platform which can
allow them do their business online like their inventory
management , logistics networking etc. ▪ Moreover FMCG product database is so huge that it needs
separate search engine or marketplace for providing online
Solution to SMEs in this sector .
▪ When a kirana store wants to execute or promote their
business online then facebook,google, or even Amazon is not
their place because their model and focus is different .

Current Status

Our operations are
currently running in Delhi
as an online Grocer www.rationpaani.in

We have done online B2C sales of around 15 lakh in cities like faizabad and delhi so far.

Moreover,last year I observed that our domain name really got popular in other countries as well since people started using this domain in UK and
Canada also other than us ofcource.

Rationpaani is exclusively a marketplace for more than 100
million SMEs of FMCG sector including ration shops,farmers,fruitshops.dairy businesses,water businesses,bakeries,confectionaries,eateries
to even a street coconut seller.
Location is every city,district,towns of the country where thousands of govt. anaj mandis are there who can go digital with us with more leverage ,branding and trust of our company brand name.

1)There are 12 million Ration or kirana stores in India who
want to go digital but there is no such platform which can
allow them do their business online.

2)Online interactions on web and mobile applications
for FMCG SMEs will create a new way doing
business by allowing these SMEs to promote and execute their businesses on our platform "Rationpaani".

3)We have built a multiple inventory system as our SaaS
based product on which sellers would be added and
along with that we will have to hire runners in every
city for operations & delivery.

4)Retail and supply chain players networked in an
Intelligent way. Business Decisions Forecasting(AI/ML)
By using Smart Supply chain technology which we have developed provided by a program of IIT Madras.

along with that we will have to hire runners in every
city for operations & delivery.Also we have developed a smart supply chain technology to execute data science for helping SMEs make smart business decisions.Also Rationpaani will be the exclusive marketplace for all FMCG products which are almost infinity in number where every brand shall be given equal opportunity to promote themselves contrary to brands like TATA salt or TATA tea because there are so many local salt and tea makers also who need recognition like these bigger brands to go hand in hand with this changing and thriving digital economy.

every household of India and yet totally
unexploited….and also 70% of India is still nonurban…..so it has major chances to penetrate internet technology to deepest roots and corners of the country.

1)SMEs' page promotion which we can charged on monthly or yearly basis on around Rs 1500 per month.

2)FMCG products' promotion which can be charged on season basis as many products occur seasonally like mangoes etc.Also a standard charge of Rs 1000 per month per product can be asked from more active players

3)On demand SaaS application design and development for certain cases providing logistic networking leads,inventory management tools on their dashboard on paid basis.

4)If 1 million paid subscribers we get by the end of 5 years with an average annual revenue per subscriber as Rs 20,000 then net revenue will be around Rs 200 crore (1 million x 20k=200 crore)

Risks

The biggest risk which i found during running it for last few years that when we talk about technocrats joining us from best talent schools like IIT ,NIT,IIM etc they do not feel such drive to say that they are joining Rationpaani because of the family and social image value of this name.Although we have gained a lot of popularity and support in local markets with this name only.So i feel that to build a successful organization and a sustainable business first we we will have to spend a lot on branding this startup name on national ,international level to change social mindset of our countrymen only so that best talents can join us proudly.

1)we were selected as top 100 startups recently in Amazon smbhav Entrepreneurship challenge.

2)we were selected last year as national level company by a IIT startup Almaconnect.com

Invention/Patent

We have designed a logo which is very similar to Indian currency symbol ...so i think we will have to patent this logo to avoid any political controversy.
