Idea

EkaLavya aims to democratize quality education with Learning Objectives and Outcomes by providing accessible, affordable and applicable digital education through a white labelled app to the schools

Current Status

We have onboarded more than 1200 schools and 150000 users (students) across 5 states in the past two years. We now have a presence in 8 states and we are expecting the number of users to cross half a million mark by end of 2022. We have digitized content across 6 boards so far. On an average students consume 10000+ hours of content everyday on our platform and schools conduct 2000+ assessments per month. We have retained 95% of our customers(schools) from 2020-21 to 2021-22. We have 4% penetration rate in 2 states and we aim to achieve 10% penetration across 5 states in 2 years from now.

Problem or Opportunity

The students of middle and lower income families (>200 million) in India face multiple challenges including lack of skilled teachers, lack of tech readiness among the schools (>70% of private schools ~ 85 million students), lack of comprehensive digital solutions, lack of availability of diversified content and opportunities to learn and explore. The present EdTech solutions are not accessible, affordable and applicable in the sense that they are out of reach to this segment, not focused on learning outcomes based content and do not adhere to learning theories and pedagogy principles.

Solution (product or service)

EkaLavya provides student centric and outcomes driven content (digitized school curriculum) and end to end ERP to budget schools through a white labeled Mobile and Web application for schools and to students through the schools. EkaLavya serves as an ally to all stakeholders - School Management, Teachers & Students and is a one stop customized solution for all the digital needs of the affordable schools.

Business model

We are charging yearly recurring fee from the schools for our services(B2B). We will be making products available to students to directly subscribe on the Learning store (B2B2C) from May 2022. When we launch our B2C products in Test Preparation segment for 11th and 12th classes in 2023, we will charge subscription fee from the students. This keeps the CAC negligible
