Penalty Optimizer is an AI enabled Renewable Energy product assisting commercial renewable energy plants in reducing penalties levied by energy purchasers due to non-approximate energy predictions
Current Status
We are working with several clients on 1st Beta run with varying sizes of plants like 2MW windmill, 5 MW solar plant, 50 MW hybrid plant at several places in India. We are actively working to get our product authorized by Indian government & are planning to come public with it by January 2023. During that time, we are refining our web ui for better user experience & are also working to get hybrid mobile apps for easy access.
Problem or Opportunity
With government norms, every renewable plant owner has to submit predictions of what energy their plant will generate in given time frame. Due to its dependency over weather sources, the plants are allowed certain error in their predictions beyond which they have to pay a very hefty penalty to government/private. Current market players are not utilizing the past data & rely on weather forecast resulting in higher penalty with in turn results into long break-through point.
Solution (product or service)
With our expertise in Artificial Intelligence, with our custom algorithm & historical data of the plant we are able to provide our customers with average 25% less penalties compared to our competitors. While our competitors have to input figures manually in worst case weathers, our model is able to adapt with just single 15 minute block data.
Business model
Currently we have opted for SaaS model where Renewable Energy Plant Developers will take our services & provide their customer with a package including our product. Down the line with bigger plants >50MW we are planning to go in profit sharing model where we will share profits percentages (which will be fixed during our 2 months trial phase, which includes 1.5 months of developer trial of physical plant) of the penalties saved.
