Idea

Everyone in the space is going for full-time classes or coaching. SmrtGuru wants to instill a sense of confidence in students preparing by themselves that there's someone out there to help them with any or all of their objectives, be it getting essays proofread to last minute revision session. Tailored classes from an expert for a particular topic/concept, learner gets what she wants, at an affordable pricing and even at the eleventh hour, that too by paying only for what she consumes. Flexible, Affordable and Live sessions.

The education sector is booming and now online learning being validated by most of the parents we'll see a huge surge even in post-covid times.

Target audience - Students and Professional; Age group - 14 to 25 yrs of age.
Parents - for targeting students under the age of 14 yrs. (As for young kids parents take decisions)

Problem or Opportunity

X wants to learn more about Python in Finance but the best she gets is pre-recorded lectures, she wants someone to help her out with stock price analysis but its a dead end, best possible option is some forum which might be of some help. This is one case of many. Such situation are commonly faced by uni students, test takers, candidates facing an interview among others.
If we talk about university level, less than 5% students take classes for college exams, while others depend on last minute study plans, with 95% of them panicking and trying to find someone to help them out. But due to non-availability of such classes the market goes untapped.

Such students approach SmrtGuru for tailored classes for their pain-points and with the help of expert Gurus we help them out.

Solution (product or service)

Continuing the above example if X has an option to take sessions for stock price analysis in python, at a decent price we have a new customer. People usually settle for a teacher around their residence but not always they find it worth, they look for an alternative, this is where SmrtGuru comes into play option to choose from hundreds of Gurus and flexible structure lures new customer.
The use-cases are numerous and a huge market still remains untapped.

We don't have close competitors although Myfavtutor, urbanpro, doubtnut superprof constitute as our closest competitors.

Current alternatives include skipping the subject/topic, referring friends or professors and relying on internet.

As we progress we'll introduce new revenue streams to tap more opportunities
We project about 100K+ transaction by the end of 5 year which at current share of revenue plus the new revenue streams we project about Rs.25 Cr revenue.

Business model

We charge 20% for every transaction. We plan to introduce other revenue models like subscription and pro plans to get more out of existing customers.
Initially we rely on referrals and freemium plans.

Money will be spent on

20-25% - Marketing & brand awareness - mainly to acquire students.
30 to 35% - Product improvement and development
10 to 15% - Content curation
Remaining funds to be distributed across heads like SEO, Design, Admin among other heads.

We're raising $150K for 20% equity for next 12 months and to achieve 10,000 transaction.

Haven't participated yet in any such competitions. We plan to do it once we pass our beta test program. We would be happy to do so in near future.
